The choice to adopt the music producer moniker "Drake Holloway" was inspired by his father, Joe Zito. As an immigrant struggling to find work under the name Zito, Joe made the bold decision to reinvent himself as Drake Holloway. This transformative change opened the door to numerous musical opportunities, ultimately culminating in his remarkable achievement as the conductor and arranger for the legendary Nat King Cole. In embracing the Drake Holloway name, the younger Holloway honors both his father's legacy and the power of reinvention in the pursuit of one's dreams.

 

For Barry, taking the music producer name of Drake Holloway further solidifies his dedication to stepping away from the ego-driven persona one develops during a successful major league sports career. By distancing himself from his past success as an athlete, Barry is making it clear that his primary motivation is to help others achieve their artistic visions and help bring those to life.

 

Now, as the founder of Childlike Inc., Drake has wholeheartedly returned to his first love: music. His dedication to providing his studio, "The Playground," a supportive space for artists to create their biggest dreams, is a testament to his passion for music and his commitment to serving others.
